About PokerClimb

PokerClimb is a poker training app for 6-max cash games. Every day it deals ten real decisions, grades each answer by how much expected value it gives up, and turns your mistakes into a personal leak report and focused drills. It is a training tool only: there is no real-money gambling, and it is meant for adults aged 18 and over.

Who is behind it

PokerClimb is built by Agustin Policano, its founder and developer. He builds the app, the content pipeline that turns strategy data into training spots, and this site, and he reviews every strategy guide before it is published.

How we make our content

Strategy guides

The guides in Learn are drafted with the help of AI writing tools and then checked and edited before publishing. We hold them to a few rules:

  • Every number is computed, not remembered. Pot odds, outs, combinations and stack-to-pot ratios are calculated with code. Preflop equities come from Monte Carlo simulations that run hundreds of thousands of showdowns per matchup.
  • Guides agree with the charts. Opening ranges, defense frequencies and bet sizes quoted in the guides are checked against our preflop charts, so the site never tells you two different things.
  • Reviewed before publishing. Each guide shows who reviewed it and when it was last updated.

Training spots in the app

Postflop decisions in the app come from solver solutions, and preflop decisions from the same 6-max 100bb charts shown on this site. Explanations are written in plain language and never contradict the graded strategy: they explain the solver’s play, they do not second-guess it.

Corrections

Found a mistake in a guide or a chart? Email [email protected]. We fix confirmed errors and update the guide’s date when we do.

Responsible play

PokerClimb teaches decision-making; it does not offer gambling of any kind. If you play poker for money, play within your means. If gambling stops being fun, contact a local support service for help.
